Team Information10/1/2015: New Irrigation Instructions
The new instructions for all irrigation activity can be viewed online here. A printed copy is kept in the Irrigation Log folder in the garden shed. Please ensure you are familiar with the instructions and the logging procedures before carrying out any watering at the garden. 5/19/2015: Stage Three Drought Declared, Water Use Regulations Adopted
All garden irrigation must comply with the Water Use Regulations posted by the City of Santa Barbara here. In particular, note these requirements: 1. Hoses must be equipped with an automatic shut-off nozzle when in use. 2. Irrigation with potable water is prohibited between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for automatic systems. If manually operated, such irrigation is prohibited between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. 3. Irrigation during and within 48 hours after measurable rainfall is prohibited. To avoid potential wasted water, all spigot valves must be turned off when not in use.
