Mesa Harmony Garden was an Approved UCCE Master Gardener Project
Master Gardeners, certified by the UC Cooperative Extension program, used to provide an Information Table at the garden every 1st Saturday (10am to 12noon), and volunteer at the garden to assist and mentor other volunteers and to further Mesa Harmony Garden's remit to be an educational resource for the community.

These donors have all given generously of time, money and resources:
The Insurance Professionals of Santa Barbara have now contributed a total of $3700 since the garden was established, including two separate awards totaling $2,500 in 2019. Many thanks to Michelle Saake and the other members of this group for their commitment to supporting the continuing development of Mesa Harmony Garden as a space for community-building activities, and a teaching resource for local schools and college students. |
Both Tony De Mola and John Huddleston of Bartlett Tree Experts have donated their time, expertise and specialized equipment when we've needed urgent work on the big pine trees at the top of the garden. On several occasions they advised us on the work needed and came back promptly to remove the limbs that might represent a risk.

The Fund awarded $3,500 in 2012 to Mesa Harmony Garden’s project to achieve Self-Sustainability, supporting the transition of the Garden to a fully self-sustaining food forest by funding the expertise needed to safely and effectively capture rainwater and store it in the land, significantly reducing the need for watering.

Milpas Rental, thanks to the inspiration of The Mesa Paper, provided us the heavy equipment necessary to get the project underway. In exchange for free advertizing in the Mesa Paper, they let us use their Skip Loader and Bobcat to dig out water-catchment swales, saving us unimaginable labor - a back saver! |
